Mama's Pizza Alpharetta Opens at New Location

A locally owned popular restaurant has opened in a new location in the city.

Mama's Pizza Alpharetta on Thursday opened at 5950 Northpoint Parkway, located in the Milton Parkway Promenade.

The new location "will better serve customers with an expanded dining room, bar area and outdoor patio seating," the restaurant said.

The hours of operation will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Saturday; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and and closed on Sunday.  

Along with favorites, the new location will also include new items such as an expanded choice of salads, new appetizers and the Italian hot dog. The hot dog will have two all-beef hot dogs covered in green peppers, onions, sliced potato fries and spicy mustard, all packed into a hoagie roll. 

Mama's Pizza originally opened in 1979 and has served the metro Atlanta community in several locations. It opened in Alpharetta in 2003, and has become a local favorite. 

In 2010, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution named the restaurant as part of its Best of the Big A for favorite pizza. Points North magazine bestowed upon the business a Readers' Choice, naming it the best pizza in 2008.
