Jan Jones Will Talk Politics With Better Milton
Jones will speak before the organization Thursday Oct. 24 at Milton City Hall.
Milton's Better Together volunteer organization will get a taste of what's to come in the Georgia General Assembly by one of its members.
The organization will host State House Speaker Pro Tempore Jan Jones at a meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24 at Milton City Hall.
Jones, who represents Milton, Mountain Park, and portions of Roswell and Alpharetta, will discuss issues facing the legislature and topics of interest to Milton residents. She will also take questions from those in the audience.
Jones, who lives in Milton was first elected to the State House in 2003. She made history when she was elected as the first woman to serve as speaker pro tem in the Georgia House of Representatives.
