ReplyYes. We include Morningside in our VaHi Patch coverage and we should have been more precise in identifying the location.

ReplyGreetings, readers -
I'm writing to respond because I think it's important to let you know that Patch editors do value and support small businesses in our communities. We live in - or very close to - the communities we serve, and we patronize many of the same small restaurants, shops and other businesses that you do.
It's no exaggeration to say that locally owned businesses are the heart and soul of any community, and that nobody cares more about their neighborhood's health than the owner/operator who pours their money and effort into their enterprise.
Patch regularly features events and news involving local businesses and business people - not just openings and closings. Recent examples include possible changes at HD1 (a possible rooftop deck for the restaurant, and talk of a change in theme), Genki Sushi's fundraising night to support Fire Station 19, additions to the menu at Java Vino and an interview with Adele Northrup, the owner-operator of the Virginia-Highland Bed & Breakfast.
We also provide a free blog platform that is open to local business people. If you are a business person who'd like to blog, please reach out to Community Editor Hunt Archbold at hunt.archbold@patch.com and he'll be happy to get you started. And if you want to suggest a local business person who deserves to be profiled, please send an email to vahi@patch.com.

On the article Are Metro Atlanta's Trees About to Fall?

ReplyOne of my neighbors has wrestled with the affordability issue. It seems that many insurance policies will pay for the damage done - after a tree or big limb falls. But if a property owner wants to do preventive pruning or removal of trees to protect their property or their neighbors' properties, insurance won't cover that. Has anybody had a different experience?
