Freezing Rain Advisory Issued by National Weather Service
Friday morning could offer too much excitement if the freezing rain that is in the forecast hits our area.
The city of Alpharetta is urging motorist to be careful driving on Friday, when winter weather is forecat that includes a mix of sleet and freezing rain moving into the area at 5 a.m. The National Weather Services's latest forecast says the chance for freezing rain is 60 percent. The wintry weather mix could continue through early afternoon on Friday. The National Weather Service issued a freezing rain advisory from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday for parts of the state that include the area west and south of a line from Ellijay to Cumming to Gainesville – which includes North Fulton.
