Milton 13-Year-Old Busted After Using Mom's Credit Card

A Milton 13-year-old juvenile allegedly used his mother's Kindle and her credit card to spend more than $3,000 on Amazon.com in a 30-minute period on Sept. 18. Milton police took him to a youth detention facility. The juvenile said he left school early because he was sick. Once home, he copied his mother's credit card information after taking the card out of her purse. He then used her Kindle to make the following purchases: His mother, who brought him to the Milton police department, told police he had done this at least 10 times in the past two years – and had been placed on probation in April for one of those offenses. His probation required that he not touch any electronic devices. It also forbade him from harming any animals, as his …

Mom Gets Cop, Police Dog to Search Daughter's Room

When four juveniles who skipped school on Sept. 13 were caught by Milton police, one of the youth's mothers used the opportunity to get help searching her daughter's room for drugs. Police received a call about a suspicious vehicle in Wyndham subdivision. The responding officer found the car unattended with its windows open. He had to leave for another call, but when he returned he spotted the car on Sunfish Bend with four occupants. One of the four teens admitted that a bottle of wine was his, and he was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol. Family members arrived to take the juveniles home. However, the mother of the female juvenile asked the Milton officer to search her daughter's room with his police service dog. The …
