Johns Creek High On Short Lockdown This Morning - Johns Creek Patch Johns Creek High School briefly went on lockdown Friday morning at 8:45. According to Susan Hale, Fulton Schools spokesperson, operations at the school on State Bridge Road are back to normal now. "Johns Creek Police were pursuing a suspect in the area, and around 8:45 a.m., they advised the school to go on lockdown. By 9 a.m., the suspect was apprehended," she said. According to Lt. Chris Byers with the Johns Creek Police Department, the school lockdown occurred after a shooting at a nearby residence, "just a couple of driveways down." A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Rucker Road early Saturday morning, sending the victim to the hospital with critical injuries. George Gordon, spokesman for the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety, said officers responded to an accident with injuries call at 6:46 a.m. The accident on Rucker Road near North Hickory Trace involved a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle, he said. The pedestrian was transported to North Fulton hospital with critical injuries. Gordon said this accident is under investigation.
