Alpharetta High seemed poised for a storybook ending to their first round playoff game against the Mill Creek Hawks Friday night, but the visting team ended the Raiders playoff hopes with a field goal with only 7 seconds left, winning 41-39. The Raiders had trailed ever since the second quarter when the Hawks Bryson King kicked his first field goal to make the score 3-0 Mill Creek. Alpharetta managed to tie Mill Creek in the third quarter when they blocked King's next field goal attempt and ran the ball 94 yards for a touchdown, making it 24-24.
