Alpharetta Opens Left Turn Lanes at Main Street/Old Milton Intersection
The dual left turn lanes and the left-turn-only traffic signals have been made operational.
Motorists driving southbound on Main Street in Alpharetta now have two left turn lanes at its intersection with Old Milton Parkway. "I am proud to announce the dual left turn lanes on southbound Main Street onto eastbound Old Milton are open and operational," said Pete Sewczwicz, Alpharetta's director of Engineering and Public Works. But if you have been driving that route since Monday, you really didn't need this story to tell you, because Sewcwicz's department has installed two message boards along Main Street, north and south of Academy Street, notifying drivers the new lanes are open.
