Rain, Rain and More Rain in Today's Forecast

Heavy rain and occasional lightning can be expected today, with thunderstorms possible at anytime today and tonight, according to the National Weather Service hazardous weather outlook. So bring the umbrella, rain poncho, raincoat, waterproof boots or shoes with you today–and maybe a change of socks! The best chance for thunderstorms wil be this afternoon and evening, so the evening commute could be especially treacherous. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph, the National Weather Service forecast says. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch are possible.
