Neighbor Holds Alleged Burglar at Gunpoint - Cartersville Patch Bartow County sheriff's officials are crediting an alert neighbor for the arrest of a man allegedly caught breaking into a Cartersville home. Sheriff Clark Millsap said in a press release deputies were dispatched about 6:40 last night to a burglary in progress at the Jones Mill Road residence. They found Corey Biggers, 24, of Armuchee, lying on the ground, held at gunpoint by a neighbor who had called 911. Authorities say the Good Samaritan and neighbor reported having seen Biggers drive slowly by the home after the homeowners left and back into the driveway, leaving his truck running. Lilburn Meth House Crumbles to the Ground - Lilburn-Mountain Park Patch It took about a half-hour to remove the constant reminder of the tragedy that occurred last year in a Lilburn-area neighborhood. The so-called Lilburn meth house, where three young children died in an explosion and fire in February 2011, has been torn down. In a couple of months, 1197 Spring Mill Drive will be a green field. An officer responded to a call on Sandringham Drive involving an altercation between two individuals and a cat. At approximately 1 a.m. on Dec. 4 a man stated that he and his girlfriend had been attacked by a cat when they returned home from a local bar. Apparently, the girlfriend saw the cat as she was walking up the stairway to her apartment, picked it up, and began to pet it while continuing to the third floor. She is a cat owner and said that she feels very comfortable with cats. However, at some point the cat became agitated and scratched her on the right forearm. The man then grabbed an oven mitten from inside the apartment but the cat bit through the oven mitt, leaving three bite marks on his right thumb. At this point, he threw …
