Weekend Temps in Alpharetta, Milton to Reach 70

Enjoy the warm weather. Next week Georgia is expected to cool down as the jet stream dips, ushering in arctic air from the north.

The doldrums of winter are expected to lighten a bit this weekend with warm weather that's going to feel like early April instead of January. The Southeast, including Georgia, and states along the East Coast are expected to see temperatures way above average through Sunday, according to the Weather Channel. In Alpharetta and Milton, a slight chance of showers threatens an otherwise cloudy weekend as high temperatures Saturday and Sunday are expected to be near 70 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. The lows are forecast for the mid 50s. That rain is expected to arrive this afternoon, with a 50 percent chance of precipitation forecast today. The chance of rain will drop to 20 percent tonight, and build back up to 60 percent …
