Nicholas David Gordon was stopped for speeding, reckless driving on North Point Parkway Wednesday night.
On the same day that Whitney Houston's daughter was cited in a traffic accident, her adopted son was charged with reckless driving and speeding in Alpharetta for allegedly driving 82 mph on North Point Parkway. The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety reports that Nicholas David Gordon, 23, of Alpharetta, was arrested and charged after a car police say he was driving was stopped at 6:39 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, on North Point Parkway near North Point Mall. An Alpharetta police officer assigned to the Traffic Enforcement Unit was operating a laser speed detection device on North Point Parkway when an incident report states he saw a gray Chevrolet Camaro speeding. The daughter of Whitney Houston was uninjured when her car went out of control and down an embankment.
A Chevy Camaro apparently driven by Bobbi Kristina Brown went off the roadway on Beaver Creek Road late this morning, traveling down an embankment before coming to a stop within Alpharetta's Big Creek Greenway trail system. Brown was uninjured in the accident, according to George Gordon, Alpharetta Public Safety spokesman. He said the Alpharetta 911 center received a call from a passer-by who said us a black vehicle had left a roadway and went down an embankment. When Alpharetta police officers arrived on the scene, they found Brown standing beside the car, which had moderate damage. Check out TMZ's website for a photo of the car. Fans worldwide can watch Whitney Houston's funeral live via Internet this Saturday, according to the Washington Post. The funeral will stream in its entirety via its Celebritology page. A link will be available on the blog's main page Saturday morning. According to the blog, the funeral begins at noon Eastern Standard time and will take place at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, N.J., which was Houston’s childhood place of worship. Houston died last weekend of undisclosed causes. Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder are scheduled to perform, the Washington Post reported. Record producer Clive Davis also plans to speak. Other celebrities attending include Oprah Winfrey, Tyler Perry, Alicia Keys, Bobby Brown, and Kevin Costner.
