Windward Group Gives Tom Trace Founders Award

The Windward Association of Retired Men honored one of its own for the work he's done as a bridge to the community in collecting food for North Fulton Community Charities, coordinating speakers and other efforts.

Tom Trace received the annual Founders Award from the Windward Association of Retired Men (WARM) for his “exceptional service to our organization and to the citizens of our community.”  The award was presented by Paul Barrow, WARM Coordinator for the current year, at the weekly breakfast meeting of the organization at the Artuzzi’s Italian Kitchen restaurant in Alpharetta. According to Barrow, “Tom Trace has served as a bridge between WARM and the North Fulton community. As liaison with North Fulton Community Charities, Tom supervised and scheduled more than a dozen WARM volunteers who regularly collected surplus food from local grocery stores and delivered it to NFCC, which is a non-profit agency dedicated to preventing homelessness. “As …

WARM Honors Windward Retiree for Dedication to Community

Don Blaine was presented the group's annual Founders Award for decades of service.

Retirement doesn't stop a man like Don Blaine from contributing to the community, and the Windward Association of Retired Men (WARM) presented its annual Founders Award to him for his “many years of dedicated service to our organization and community.” Showing he's not only in his work for the community, the award was presented jointly by last year’s Founders Award recipient Travis Mills and former recipient Bob O’Hagan. The ceremony took place Jan. 9 during the weekly breakfast meeting of the organization at Artuzzi’s Italian Kitchen restaurant in Alpharetta.
