Milton Lady Eagles Win Regional Softball Title
The varsity softball team beat North Forsyth to win the tournament.
The Milton High School varsity softball team won the 6-AAAAA regional tournament Oct. 5 for the second year in a row, beating the North Forsyth Raiders, 11-6. Hannah Weldy pitched all 7 innings for the Eagle win, and junior Chelsea Canara hit a 225 ft. home run in the second inning to put Milton in the lead. The Lady Eagles went undefeated in the tournament. Milton is led by head coach Melanie Mosteller, and assistant coaches, Craig Daugherty, CoCo Roberts, and Amanda Meers.
