West Cobb Patch is withholding his identity because he is a juvenile, but he faces charges of child molestation and aggravated child molestation. Alpharetta Woman, 44, Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash

A single-vehicle crash over the weekend in north Forsyth County leaves a woman dead.

A 44-year-old Alpharetta woman died early Saturday morning after her vehicle crashed in a wooded area in North Forsyth county, authorities said. Kathryn J. Dodd, 44, of Alpharetta, was dead at the scene after being ejected from her car, according to Cpl. David Garrison of the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office. Dodd, who was driving a 2005 Nissan Maxima, was traveling west on Chattahoochee Road from Shady Grove Road when the vehicle left the roadway on the north side and struck a tree, Garrison said. A passerby saw Dodd's car leave the roadway around 2 a.m. and go down an embankment off Chattahoochee Road. Garrison said Dodd was not wearing a seatbelt. Five Car Wreck on GA 400 Blocked All Lanes

The accident that happened before 8:30 a.m. today is being cleared, and lanes are reopening.

Two lanes have reopened after a five-vehicle accident on GA 400 northbound at Old Milton Parkway just before 8:30 a.m. today, Dec. 12. Traffic is still heavily backed up because of the wreck, said George Gordon, Alpharetta Department of Public Safety spokesman.

Friday Morning Traffic Fatality Victim from Alpharetta

Ga. 400 was closed Friday morning due to a traffic fatality at Roberts Drive.

  Twenty two-year-old Carlyn Emily Royball of Alpharetta died in a traffic accident this morning on Ga. 400. 11 Allive News is reporting that B 98.5FM cohost Kelly Stevens was injured in that accident. He was hit by Royball, who was driving northbound in the southbound lane at about 3:30 a.m., said Police Capt. Steve Rose. Stevens' car overturned. Ga. 400 has reopened.

Alpharetta Police Investigate Truck Accident on Westside

The driver of the truck was injured, police report.

Alpharetta police were investigating an accident that involved an overturned dump truck near the intersection of Hembree Road and Westside Parkway. Alpharetta Man Dies in Double-Fatal South Forsyth Wreck

UPDATE: The second driver in the fatal accident happened early Friday morning in south Forsyth County was identified.

UPDATE: 6-1-12, 2:45 p.m. (second victim identified) Two people were killed early Friday morning in a head-on collision on Old Alpharetta Road and Windhaven Drive in south Forsyth County, authorities said. Both drivers–Samuel Chi Epeagba, 53, of Alpharetta and Cathy Jones, 50, of Suwanee–were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. There were no passengers in either vehicle or witnesses to the collision. Sgt. Chris Shelton of the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office reports the driver of a 2002 Toyota Camry Solara was traveling northbound on Old Alpharetta Road, and for an unknown reason, crossed over into the southbound lane and collided head on with a 2005 Nissan Murano driven by Epeagba. The collision remains under investigation.

UPDATED: Alpharetta Officer's Patrol Car Struck by Suspected Drunk Driver

Local officer taken to North Fulton Hospital for treatment before being released.

UPDATED 3 P.M.: A veteran Alpharetta police officer was injured when his patrol car was struck from behind at an intersection at 10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, by a driver later charged with DUI. Officer Keith Nurse was sitting at the intersection of Westside Parkwayand Hembree Road, waiting for the signal to change from red to green. While he sat there, another vehicle rear ended his car. Henry Wilson, 53, of Alpharetta, was charged with DUI after the accident. George Gordon, spokesman for the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety, said Wilson was charged with DUI and failure to maintain lane. He was transported to jail.
