Thanksgiving Travel Remains Steady In Georgia

AAA South predicts little change in travel patterns and the National Weather Service says temperatures will drop by the weekend.

About 1.2 million people across the state of Georgia, including Alpharetta and Milton residents, will travel 50 or more miles away from home for the holiday weekend, according to AAA South. What Do You Give Thanks For on This Holiday?

Whether it's family, friends, good health or something else, what gives today meaning for you?

On this day of no school, no work and football games, plus a feast fit for a king (or queen), maybe it's time we set aside all of that to recognize what Thanksgiving us supposed to be about. I find myself thankful to be in fairly good health, especially considering my diet and lack of exercise. Sure, I could lose a few (dozen) pounds, and today's dinner at a friend's house isn't going to help any. I'm thankful to have that friend, and even a few others! More than that, I'm thankful that I have a good job, and it's one I not only enjoy doing, but in which I have fun most of the time. Plus my coworkers are a great group of people. There's a lot of people out there who just wish they had a job. And in this job I get to meet a lot of new …

In November and December HoneyBaked will sell more than 7 million pounds of turkey and ham, according to the company's retail marketing manager.
