Alpharetta locations close an hour later, but you have to drive to Atlanta to find a Post Office open until midnight.
Last-minute tax filers in Alpharetta and Milton on Monday, April 15 have an extra hour to drop off tax forms at the two Post Offices in Alpharetta. Is that not late enough for you? You can head over to the Roswell Postal Store on Alpharetta Highway, or to Boggs Road in Duluth, as both locations close at 7 p.m. But if you are running really late, the Atlanta Main Post Office on Crown Road will be open until midnight. The following information was supplied by the Milton police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
Warrants have been taken out for an Alpharetta man who rented a truck on Jan. 31, but did not return it as required on Feb. 7. The suspect rented the Penske truck at Home Depot. A Penske Truck representative told Milton police the Huntington Place resident signed a rental agreement setting the return date and location as Feb. 7 at the Home Depot. When the truck still had not been returned, a certified letter was sent to the man. As of April 1, a check of Penske's national database showed the truck still hadn't been returned. Milton police went to the apartment the suspect used in the rental agreement on April 2, but it appeared to be vacant and no arrest was made. The following information was supplied by the Milton police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
A Milton man was contacted by Office Max of a pending Internet purchase of a computer that was scheduled to be shipped to a different address than his billing address, a red flag for fraud. The Oxford Meadow man said he on June 25 that hedid not use his card to buy the $909 computer. While checking into this fraud, he also discovered a second fraudulent purchase already made at a Bed, Bath and Beyond store of $869. The victim's credit card company credited him for the costs and is investigating the fraud. He told Milton police that he rarely uses that credit card, but he last used it to make a purchase at the Apple Store. He thought the transaction was suspicious because the clerk manually entered the card's number. Milton Woman Misses …

Alpharetta Post Offices close at 6 p.m. today, so last minute tax filers will need to drive north to Cumming or east to Duluth if they miss that time.
Last minute tax filers are running out of time to get that postmark if they are mailing and not filing online. The Alpharetta Post Offices will close at the normal time, at 6 p.m. Both the Alpharetta Main Office and the Webb Bridge Road Post Office close at 6 p.m. Going north isn't much help, as the Cumming Post Office also closes at that time. And going south gets the same results–the Roswell Main Office has the same closing hour. But two Contract Postal Unit (CPU) locations in the Cumming area are open late. Leon's Food Mart, on Matt Highway is open until 10 p.m., and the Citgo at Cumming Square is open until 11 p.m. And if you are just a little bit late, the Roswell Postal Store at 10719 Alpharetta Highway closes at 7 p.m. There are …
