Police Shoot, Kill Home Invasion Suspect in Norcross Area - Gwinnett Patch The suspect in a home invasion is dead after being shot by police in the Norcross area. According to Gwinnett County Police spokesman Cpl. Edwin Ritter, the suspect forced entry into a home at Woodland Ridge Apartments at 301 Tree Trail Pkwy. in unincorporated Norcross Monday morning (April 22). The final suspect in a snatch and grab robbery at North Point Mall was arrested after Atlanta police responded to a call that he had been shot.
A fourth suspect in a snatch-and-grab at NorthPoint Mall on Nov. 29 was arrested after being shot in Atlanta. Isaiah Burt, 25, was taken into custody by Atlanta police after they received a report of a person shot. Atlanta officers discovered the person shot was wanted by Alpharetta police, according to a news release from George Gordon, spokesman for the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety. Burt had been shot in the leg and was taken to Grady Hospital. Gordon's release said Burt was uncooperative with detectives. He said he was allegedly shot by the brother of one of the three other suspects in the North Point Mall robbery. Robbery Suspect Killed in I-75 Chase - East Cobb Patch A suspect who allegedly robbed a Woodstock convenience store Sunday morning was shot and killed by police on Interstate 75 near the North Marietta Parkway, leaving southbound traffic jammed for most of Sunday afternoon. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting thatthe unidentified suspect led Cobb and Cherokee law enforcement on a chase from a Marathon station on Bells Ferry Road in Woodstock and down I-75, to just south of the North Marietta Parkway. Police stopped the vehicle there, and the suspect aimed his gun at officers, who shot and killed him, according to the AJC report, which was based on a statement issued by the Cherokee Sheriff's Office. A woman who moved from Deer Point Court in Milton to Woodstock suspects movers after a couple of laptops and money went missing from their house on moving day. An officer was dispatched to a home on Deer Point Court in Milton around 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 21 in response to a possible theft. The victim said that she had hired movers on Nov. 18 who were in her home from approximately 8:30 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. They then moved her belongings to her new residence in Woodstock, Georgia and were done working around 11:45 the same day. She said that the last time she had seen her MacBook laptop was around 8 a.m. on the day of the move. Her Acer laptop was also missing and was last seen the day before moving. Two men have been arrested and charged with the Sept. 2 robbery at a South Forsyth County liquor store, according to a news release Thursday by the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office. Jonathan Blake Reid, 21, of DeMalle Court in Alpharetta, was charged with two counts of armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and tampering with evidence.
