ConAgra foods today is voluntarily recalling Orville Redenbacher’s Classic Kettle Korn flavor ready-to-eat popcorn packages because they may contain an undeclared milk allergen. In Alpharetta, Orville Redenbacher products can be found at places like Kroger, Publix and Target. According to an alert issued by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), some bags may accidentally contain white cheddar flavored popcorn, which contains milk, an allergen, which is not declared on the product label. This recall is only a concern to those who have an allergy or sensitivity to milk. No illnesses have been reported to date, and this is the only Orville Redenbacher product affected. Publix Super Markets is issuing a voluntary recall for the Publix Deli Tri Fruit and Grain Salad, since it may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Publix received notification of the potential contamination from their supplier, Allison's Gourmet Kitchens. Publix Deli Tri Fruit and Grain Salad, UPC # 41415-39662, was distributed in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee. Not only can your pets be affected by Salmonella from dry pet food being recalled by Natara Pet Products. Humans also are at risk from handling contaminated pet products, especially if they have not thoroughly washed their hands after having contact with the products or any surfaces exposed to these products. Nearly three million Toyota vehicles around the world are being recalled due to a water pump problem and defective steering shaft, according to USA Today. Approximately, 2.77 million vehicles are affected by the combined recalls, including 670,000 in the U.S. They include Prius hybrids manufactured from 2004 to 2009. Car owners can bring their vehicle into a dealership to be inspected and, in some cases, have the steering intermediate extension shaft or the electric water pump replaced, according to Toyota. BJ's Wholesale Club has issued a voluntary recall of about 41,000 Superex SAFETO GO LED flashlight and battery sets due to fire and burn hazards, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The CPSC reports that the flashlights can heat up, smoke or melt when turned on – posing fire and burn hazards. So far, BJ's has received two reports of incidents with the flashlights, including one unit overheating and one unit burning and making a loud noise. A vendor at the Alpharetta Farmers Market has issued a recall on mozzarella cheese, according to its Tuesday night Facebook post. In an earlier Facebook post, Norcross-based AtlantaFresh Artisan Creamery issued the recall on mozzarella sold last week at five farmer’s markets.
