A Sandy Springs man who accidentally pushed his car down an embankment on Kimball Bridge Road after it ran out of gas had Alpharetta police searching for victims of what was reported as an accident with injuries. Officers and firefighters searched the immediate area and wooded area nearby for any occupants of the car, which had overturned. They used a digital device that registers heat and physically searched several hundred feet in all directions for any victims. The license plate was checked, and it came back on a Johns Creek address. But when officers went to that home to search for the driver or any family members, they learned no one lived there and it was under foreclosure. The BMW RLL Racing Team holds open house at United BMW
The 14th Annual Petit Le Mans race is coming up and locals are excited - as evidenced during a special meet-and-greet with the BMW race team in Roswell Tuesday evening. The 10 hour or 1,000 mile (whichever comes first) endurance race is the final event of the American Le Mans Series season and will be held on the 2.5 mile Road Atlanta race course in Braselton, Ga. this Saturday. The BMW RLL (Rahal, Letterman, Lanigan) race team, which will be competing in the Petit Le Mans this weekend, visited United BMW in Roswell on Tuesday. The visit provided an opportunity for BMW enthusiasts and ALMS race fans to get up close to BMW racing cars, as well as to meet and speak with some of the BMW drivers who will be racing in the Petit Le Mans.
