Dead Racoon's Rabies Reminder to Take Precautions
A mild winter has more of us outside these days, but don't get too close to the wildlife.
Don't forget to take precautions to protect your family and pets from rabies. The discovery of a dead racoon in the Freemanville Road area last week is a good reminder that rural areas, especially those like Milton, are periodically affected by rabies. The city of Milton reported late last week that Fulton County Animal Services tested a dead racoon found in the Freemanville area and it tested positive for rabies. A local resident had called the county for help. But Milton officials say not to be alarmed, just take precautions.
