RISPA Expands into Milton

The performing arts school outgrew another location, so it moved north again and added a black box theater

Brian Littrell of the Back Street Boys was on hand recently to help open RISPA's new 11,000 square foot facility in Milton across from Alpharetta Country Club East and Crooked Creek subdivision. RISPA offers ballet, jazz, acting, voice, musical theater and other facets of the performing arts. It first opened in downtown Alpharetta next door to Smokejack, but soon outgrew that space. A move north to Main Street Walk allowed for its first expansion, but after a few years they also outgrew that space. Now RISPA is in an 11,000 square foot facility, with different size studios and rooms for all types of dance. It is so great to be part of the RISPA family. My daughters all attend this great performing art school and I love how it is helping them to be more self confident, sensible persons while developing their talents. It's a great place for kids.   more ›

King's Ridge Students Heading Out to Sea

Students in the Performing Arts program at the high school were invited to perform on a Bahamas cruise in early June.

Some high school students from King's Ridge Christian School will be taking a cruise in early June, but don't call it a vacation. They'll be performing at sea. The King's Ridge High Performing Arts program has been selected by Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines to perform on their ship, Monarch of the Seas. Students will perform at sea on the 4-night Bahamas cruise on June 4-8. Students will perform the following numbers: "Students were chosen from a video that was sent of our high school production, 'Millie'," said King's Ridge spokesperson Shuntel Beach.
