Alpharetta Brightens Downtown With Nov. 30 Tree Lighting
North Point Community Church will work to put the 'Miracle' into the event with its sponsorship.
Alpharetta will light up its downtown historic district on Friday, Nov. 30, with the city's 35th annual Chirstmas Tree Lighting. This is a new date, according to city Special Events Manager Kim Dodson, so update your calendars. The pre-lighting festivities begin around 5 p.m., filling donwtown streets with musical performances, a visit by Santa, a holiday market and more. Alpharetta’s 45-foot live blue spruce Christmas Tree will come aglow along with more than 100,000 additional twinkling lights in downtown Alpharetta. The lighting of the town will occur just before the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus on a City of Alpharetta fire truck. My family will be going through Atlanta soon. We would like to attend church on Sunday morning. I wonder if there is a special Christmas program for this Christmas. Or special information that we need to know to be sure we will not miss a service.   more ›
