Alpharetta Woman Busted on Drug Charges After Littering

A cigarette tossed out the window of a car resulted in an Alpharetta woman and a juvenile facing drug charges. On Dec. 19 at 3:05 p.m., a Milton police officer saw the driver of an SUV throw a cigarette out the window of her vehicle, which was stopped on Morris Road northbound at its intersection with Webb Road. He stopped the vehicle and asked another officer to be sent to the scene after recognizing the driver. When the officer walked around the SUV to talk to the driver and three juvenile passengers, he smelled marijuana. One of the juveniles admitted some marijuana was under the front passenger seat, where a bag was found with approximately 5 grams of marijuana.
