Acworth Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash - Acworth Patch The Cobb County Police Department has identified the motorcyclist killed Tuesday night when he struck a concrete retaining wall on Cheatham Road between Deer Valley Drive and Old Stilesboro Road in Acworth. Investigators suspect that excessive speed and alcohol may have been contributing factors in the crash that killed Scott Finnell, who apparently lost control of a black 2011 Harley Davidson Electra Glide while riding southbound on Cheatham Road at 10:31 p.m. Tuesday, said Sgt. Cumming Man Dies After Falling from Tree Stand - Cumming Patch A 44-year-old father dies and his son is injured after falling approximately 15 to 20 from a tree stand while hunting in a remote area in south Forsyth County on Monday evening. Gwinnett Woman Still Considered Missing - Lawrenceville Patch Stacy Parker went missing Friday afternoon when she was last seen at the Venture Cinemas in Duluth. On Sunday, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Parker was found safe. However, Cpl. Jake Smith of the Gwinnett County Police says the woman is still missing and the Mattie's Call is still in effect. "As far as GCPD is concerned, Stacey Parker has not been located," said Smith in a release. "We still consider her a missing person and we still consider her at risk." Smith says detectives have received tips that Parker may have bee seen at a homeless shelter in Atlanta. That information has not been confirmed and GCPD detectives are investigating. Wanda Gaylor was located just before 6 p.m. Friday in Alpharetta.
Update: 10-12-12, 6:32 p.m. Wanda Gaylor, 76, of Cumming, who was reported missing by her husband around 3 p.m. Friday, was safely found in Alpharetta, according to Karleen Chalker with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office. Gaylor was located just before 6 p.m. and the Mattie's Call was canceled. No information was given as to where she was found or the circumstances that led to her disappearance. Woman Struck by Own Vehicle Dies – Canton-Sixes Patch Mary Cantrell, the 69-year-old woman who was flown to Grady Hospital in Atlanta after she was struck by her own vehicle on Wednesday, has died. "The victim was taken off life support and was pronounced as dead at 3 p.m.," Det. Candy Worthy of the Canton Police Department said in an email this afternoon. "Her injuries were consistent with generalized massive trauma to the head and body. Our prayers are with her family."
