Dance, Rock, Pop and Karate Highlight Milton Roundup Entertainment

The city's birthday party celebrates six years since Milton was formed.

Milton released the schedule today for the sixth annual Milton Roundup, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 20 from noon to 6 p.m. The day will be filled with entertainment and great food from a number of local groups at Birmingham United Methodist Church, according to a news release from the city. Milton Roundup Celebrates Six Years on Saturday

Free admission, parking activities make this an affordable event for families.

Happy Birthday, City of Milton! The party starts at noon on Saturday, Oct. 20, at Birmingham United Methodist Church and everybody is invited to the sixth annual Milton Roundup. For six hours – yes, one hour for every year the city has existed – the community can enjoy an activities tent for kids, live performances by musicians and others, a rock wall, moonwalk, bungee station and the signature mechanical bull. All of those activities are free, as are admission and parking, said Miltno Communications Manager Jason Wright in his press releases about the event. Milton Roundup Sponsorship Deadline Nears

Businesses and non-profits wanting to get in all the ads for the free event have until the end of day Monday, Sept. 10, to sign up.

Business and non-profit organizations wanting to sponsor the 2012 Milton Roundup should sign up by Monday, Sept. 10, so they can still be in all the advertisements. The event is the city's annual celebration of its creation that includes live music, games, rides and plenty of local food. Business and local non-profits can download the sponsorship and vendor packet from the city's Website. "These ads - running in virtually every local publication in North Fulton for weeks before the event - are a great opportunity for local businesses and non-profits," said Jason Wright, communications manager for the City of Milton. 21 sponsors more than a month before the event? Hardly empty, Whitney. And who cares about in-kind? The event is paid for by taxpayer dollars, so every in-kind sponsorship just offsets Milton residents' cost. It's mostly kid stuff for a reason -- kids come to this event.
