Alpharetta Elementary Students Jump for Your Heart
The school holds its 13th annual Jump Rope for Heart event, hoping to raise $5,000 to add to the more than $100,000 already raised for the American Heart Association.
Alpharetta Elementary is holding its 13th annual Jump Rope for Heart event, with students jumping during their PE classes to raise money to fight against heart disease and stroke. Over the years the students have raised mroe than $100,000. As part of its kickoff event, the school hosted a jump rope demo team from Morris Brandon Elementary School from Atlanta. The team not only showed off great jump rope skills but they also taught the kids about living a heart healthy lifestyle, school officials said. This year the students of AES are hoping to raise $5,000 for the American Heart Association. The event will be continue on March 7.
