Milton Woman Victimized Again, Losing $9,000 Tax Refund

A Hopewell Plantation Drive resident found that her identity had been stolen again, with a suspect getting her $9,000 tax refund. The local resident told Milton police on Jan. 4 that she learned identity fraud had been committed when she tried to file a tax return in September 2012 and was told one ad already been filed, with a tax refund issued on a prepaid card. When she contacted the card company, she was told only $23.25 was left on the card, and she would need a subpoena to get any information about the card.  Banks, Credit Card Company Save Milton Man 4 Times Two banks came through for a Milton man on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
