Jackie Evancho Helps ASO Open Its Summer Season

The pre-teen classical singer performed with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Alpharetta.

I learned something valuable about myself at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra summer season opening concert at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre Sunday. My patience runs out after 2 hours. On Sunday night, she performed many of the songs from her CD, "Dream With Me," plus other songs which showcased her talent. It's incredible that such a young, tiny performer can have such a big voice, and that was clearly on display when she was on stage at …

Recapture that 'Classic' Feeling at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre this Season

It's a classic rock season at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre this season, with bands like the Eagles, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Styx and REO Speedwagon - plus a few new favorites.

Feeling nostalgic? A visit to Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park this upcoming season may be a chance to recapture your youth with several classic rock concerts, including some bands that have reunited. The concert season kicks off April 29 with Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers. And the ‘70s bands continue through the summer with Styx, Ted Nugent, the Eagles and Crosby, Stills & Nash. There is also a Beatles tribute band joining the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Or, if you’re looking for more contemporary music, you can find Foster the People and Barenaked Ladies performing there for the first time. And for your deadhead fix, the jam band Furthur, founded by former Grateful Dead members Phil Lesh and Bob Weir, will take the stage …

Concert Tickets to Alpharetta's Amphitheater Could Make Great Stocking Stuffers

Jackie Evancho and Il Divo join the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, while the Project 9-6-1 Cinco concert returns for another season.

It's mid-afternoon just a day and a half before Christmas and you still haven't found a gift for everyone, have you? So how about some concert tickets for next season at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre? As a stocking stuffer, the Project 9-6-1 Cinco Party offers very inexpensive tickets for lawn seating. The " Stocking Stuffer Lawn Discount" is just $9.61 per ticket–though the fees bring the actual price up to $14.91. Of course there's a little catch in that the lineup of artists won't be announced until next year. The amphitheater is the summer home of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and for one concert in June, it will team with a rising pre-teen singer with a voice beyond her years. Jackie Evancho, who competed on "America's Got Talent," …
