GM Rumored to be Taking Over Former UPS Facility

The "technology innovation center" could bring 1,000 jobs to Roswell.

UPS closed the doors at the Innoplex facility in Roswell back in 2009, but GM may be reopening the facility for a technology development center that could bring up to 1,000 jobs to the region, the AJC's Greg Bluestein reported on Thursday. The Atlanta area is one of several East Coast cities that has been considered for a new “information technology innovation center.” GM has only announced two of its four planned facilities. One will be in Austin, TX, and the other in Warren, Mich. The company mostly likely will not announce any deal reached in Roswell until January, according to Bluestein.
