Cats Found in Walls of Alpharetta Home, Feces 6 Inches Deep
A woman called authorities to report she couldn't take care of some 40 cats left behind when her mother passed away in June.
Authorities rescued some 40 cats from an Alpharetta home that reportedly contained feces up to six inches deep and animals living in the walls. A woman contacted Fulton County Animal Services to say she couldn't care for the cats her deceased mother left behind at the Rucker Road home, CBS Atlanta reports. Workers and volunteers wearing HAZMAT gear reported finding cats throughout the house, including in between the walls, and spent Monday and Tuesday loading up the animals to be taken to a veterinarian for assessment and treatment, according to WSB-TV.
