Milton-Based Charity Using Ice to Raise Autism Awareness, Funding

Children's Charities is sponsoring an ice sculpting event to help fund a new Autism Detection Unit at Children's Healthcare Urgent Care.

Did you know that 1 in 84 children born in Georgia will be diagnosed with some form of autism? Children’s Charities Inc., a Milton-based civic group, is raising awareness and funds for a new Autism Detection Unit that will be located at Children’s Healthcare Urgent Care at the Avenue in Forsyth. Developed by doctors at the Marcus Center and Emory, this unit can detect signs of autism in children as young as 6 months old. Early detection can make a world of difference in a child’s life.
