Chilling details have come out about a crime spree that started in Forsyth County before heading to Alpharetta and then Duluth, involving armed robbery, auto theft, carjacking and terroristic threats. A Gainesville man remains in Forsyth County Jail on charges stemming from the incidents. Forsyth County investigators arrest a suspect wanted for allegedly stealing a family member's car and guns who also is wanted in Alpharetta for armed robbery and carjacking.
A 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a carjacking and a separate armed robbery n Alpharetta last week, and on car theft and gun theft charges in Forsyth County. The armed robbery took place at BeJewel, a Windward Parkway business, on Aug. 17 at 12:49 p.m., according to George Gordon, spokesperson for the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety. The carjacking took place in the parking lot of a local mall on Aug. 17 at 8:40 p.m. Since then, the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety’s Criminal Investigative Division has been conducting investigations.
