The local graduates were part of the theater production at Brenau University in Gainesville.
Local students from Brenau University participated in the Gainesville Theatre Alliance WonderQuest production of the classic fairy tale, "The Frog Prince," at the university's historic Pearce Auditorium. The students are: Deirdre Michele Kunze is from Alpharetta. Kunze is a freshman at Brenau majoring in theater design and technology. She was the stage manager for the WonderQuest show "The Frog Prince." She is a graduate of Chattahoochee High School in Alpharetta, Ga. She is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha. Mary Elizabeth Donovan Steinhaus is from Milton. Steinhaus is a junior at Brenau majoring in musical theater. She worked in recruitment for the WonderQuest show "The Frog Prince." Brenau Students Named to Dean's, Merit Lists Milton and Alpharetta students were named to the Dean's List at Brenau University for their academic performance during the fall term of the 2011-12 academic year. The local honorees are: Mary Elizabeth Donovan Steinhaus from Milton is a sophomore at Brenau. Steinhaus's major is theater arts with a musical theater emphasis. A pair of Alpharetta residents have backstage roles with the production of Hairspray that opens the Gainesville Theatre Alliance's 2011-12 season on Tuesday, Nov. 8 . Deirdre Kunze from Alpharetta, is the assistant stage manager for this production. Kunze, whose major is theater, is a junior at Brenau. Alexandra Matthews from Alpharetta, is the wardrobe head for this production. Matthews, whose major is theater theater design and technology, is a senior at Brenau. Alpharetta students were among the 750 students who graduated this spring from Brenau University. The local graduates are: Brenau awarded 771 degrees–341 graduate diplomas and 430 undergraduate diplomas, some in dual degree programs like occupational therapy and interior design–at commencement ceremonies at the Georgia Mountains Center in Gainesville.
