The following local students have been named to the fall 2012 Dean's List at Berry College: To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better. Berry College is an independent, coeducational college recognized nationally for the quality and value of its educational experience. Berry College welcomed 105 new alums Dec. 15 at the Fall Commencement. Jennifer Allman of Alpharetta graduated from Berry College with a BA degree in Theatre, Spanish. Daniel Wartner of Alpharetta graduated from Berry College with a BS degree in Exercise Science. Berry College welcomed 105 new alums Dec. 15 at the Fall Commencement. Featured speaker Sally Ride Science CEO Sheryle J. Bolton provided words of inspiration for the graduates. Bolton, a Berry College alumna and trustee, is an experienced corporate executive and business strategy consultant with a passion for bringing innovation to science and technology education.

Schneider Graduates From Centenary Marisa Rose Schneider a resident of Alpharetta, was among 195 students from Centenary College of Louisiana who received undergraduate and graduate degrees during the College's Commencement Exercises held on May 5. Schneider received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration. Centenary College is a private, four-year arts and sciences college in Shreveport, LA, affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Howard Earns Journalism Degree In Nebraska Kathryn Clorise Howard of Alpharetta was among more than 2,800 students who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln at commencement exercises May 4 and 5. Lee Sivertsen of Alpharetta graduated from Berry College with a Master of Business Administration degree in General Business. Berry College welcomed 120 new alums Dec. 10 at the Fall Commencement. Featured speaker Berry Board of Trustees Chair Karen Holley Horrell provided words of inspiration for the graduates. Horrell, divisional president of corporate services for the Great American Insurance Co., is the first woman to be elected chair of the college's senior leadership board.
