The Cambridge Bears score 28 points in their contest against the Northview Titans, but it was far short of what was needed, as the visitors won, 62-28. Cambridge actually tied the score in the first quarter, making it 7-7, according to Maxpreps.com. But the Titans scored eight straight touchdowns – including two defensive TDs – before the Bears got back on the scoreboard. The 0-5 Bears travel to Forsyth Central on Friday, Oct. 12. The 1-4 Titans will host Creekview on Friday.
The Cambridge Bears and the King's Ridge Tigers both have home games.
The Bethany Bend-Cogburn Road intersection should be pretty busy tonight, with high school football games at both Cambridge High and King's Ridge Christian. King's Ridge holds a 2-0 record as they host Pace Academy at 7:30 p.m. The Tigers beat St. Francis High last week, 49-0. They beat Pinecrest Academy on Aug. 31 by a score of 45-7. Pace Academy opened their season with a loss to Whitefield Academy, 24-8, but came back last week with a victory over Athens Academy, 42-7. Across Cogburn Road, the Cambridge Bears go up against South Forsyth High. The Bears lost their season opener, home opener and program opener on Aug. 31 to Riverwood, 48-0. Why does the "official" school calendar only show athletic events? http://school.fultonschools.org/hs/cambridge/Pages/Calendar.aspx This is unfair. The other school clubs, service groups, honor associations, and performing arts groups deserve to be represented equally.
