UPDATE: Michigan Bank Robbery Suspect Dead after Chase in Alpharetta

Local police say the man refused to surrender and shot himself when trapped by traffic and police in a strip center's parking lot.

UPDATE at 3:53 p.m.: The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety has released the identity of the suspect accused of several bank robberies in Michigan who shot himself on Tuesday. FBI, Alpharetta Police Seek Bank Robbery Suspect

The public is being asked to help locate and identify the armed robber of a BB&T branch on North Point Parkway.

The FBI and Alpharetta police are asking for the public's help to find a man responsible for the armed robbery of the BB&T Branch on North Point Parkway on Monday. A lone black male entered the branch at 5690 North Point Parkway at approximately 9:53 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 11, and announced a robbery. According to an FBI blog, the robber placed a handgun onto the teller counter. He was given an undisclosed amount of money and left the bank without further incident. Special Agent in Charge Mark F. Giuliano, FBI Atlanta and Alpharetta Director of Public Safety Gary D. George are asking for assistance from the public in identifying and locating the individual responsible for the armed robbery. Angie Cornett Resigns from the Bartow School Board - Cartersville Patch Bartow County school board District 3 rep and vice chairman Angie Cornett today resigned her position on the board of education, Superintendent John Harper said. Bank Robber Hits SunTrust Bank in Alpharetta

Public Safety Department asks for help identifying suspect.

The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety wants your help in identifying a bank robbery suspect. On Feb. 16 around 11 a.m., the suspect entered a SunTrust Bank in Alpharetta and gave a note to a teller demanding money. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene. The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety is asking for anyone who knows the identity of the suspect to call its tip line at 678-297-6307, said George Gordon, spokesman for the department. He said all information will be kept confidential.

Alleged Bank Robber ID'd; Police Ask for Help in Locating Suspect

Ernest Strickland is suspected of robbing the Medlock Bridge Bank of America branch on Tuesday.

An individual suspected of robbing the Bank of America at 10950 Medlock Bridge Road at the corner of Abbotts Bridge has been identified as Ernest Strickland, following media reports yesterday. Police are now asking for the public's help in identifying Strickland's whereabouts. Strickland is accused of allegedly entering the bank at approximately 10:05 the morning of Tuesday, May 24. The suspect passed a note to the teller stating that he had a gun, but did not display a weapon and left the bank on foot. Medlock Bridge Bank of America Robbed This Morning

JCPD is asking for public's help in identifying this man.

Johns Creek Police are requesting the public’s help in identifying the individual who robbed a Bank of America branch this morning in Johns Creek. The black male, approximate age mid-40s, entered the Bank of America at 10950 Medlock Bridge Road (corner of Abbotts Bridge Road) at approximately 10:05 this morning, Tuesday, May 24. The note he passed to the teller said that he had a gun, but he never displayed any weapon during the time he was in the bank. He left the scene on foot.
