Artists, vendors and visitors enjoyed the two-day art exhibition in downtown Alpharetta.
For two days residents from Alpharetta, Milton and surrounding communities came to downtown Alpharetta, adding a little culture in their lives at the Alpharetta Arts Streetfest. Scores of people walked across Main Street and from other directions to get to the event, which filled Milton Avenue between Main and Canton streets. Along with the juried artists participating in the festival were several food vendors and continuous local music on the stage. Interactive art booths also were available for the youngsters and not so young art enthusiasts. While you could see quite a few of the exhibiting artists creating their next masterpieces, children were making their own stamp on the art world. Hear what a few of them had to say and watch them …

The annual Alpharetta Arts Streetfest brings artists from multiple states to show–and sell–their artwork.
Beautiful, warm weather with a sunny sky helped bring the crowds to downtown for the annual Alpharetta Arts Streetfest to view and sometimes buy the artwork on display. Artists from around the country brought their works to this North Fulton city in the juried exhibition, using many different mediums. Sculpture of a fanciful nature could be spotted, as well as many different types of painting, including watercolor and oil. Some artists could be spotted creating new works in their exhibit tents. Several interactive art booths are set up for children and adults. The event continues again Sunday, April 15, from 10 a.m-6 p.m. Parking is available at City Hall, Milton Center and in the parking lot accessible off Roswell Street. Food is …

The annual festival brought thousands of people to this historic area of Milton.
Thousands of people filled the streets in Historic Crabpple for the Crossroads at Crabapple Antique and Art Festival on Saturday, Oct. 1. Parking spaces were filled all around the area, and traffic more closely resembled an evening rush hour than a sedate weekend afternoon. But with most of those motorists seemingly headed for the festival, much of it turned into pedestrian traffic. At least 100 vendors offered antiques ranging from household goods to large pieces of furniture, while artwork from jewelry to paintings were on display, and for sale.
