Alpharetta Arts Streetfest Considered a Success

Artists, vendors and visitors enjoyed the two-day art exhibition in downtown Alpharetta.

Scores of people walked across Main Street and from other directions to get to the event, which filled Milton Avenue between Main and Canton streets. Along with the juried artists participating in the festival were several food vendors and continuous local music on the stage. Interactive art booths also were available for the youngsters and not so young art enthusiasts. While you could see quite a few of the exhibiting artists creating their next masterpieces, children were making their own stamp on the art world. Hear what a few of them had to say and watch them …

Crossroads at Crabapple Fills With Antiques, Arts

The annual festival brought thousands of people to this historic area of Milton.

Thousands of people filled the streets in Historic Crabpple for the Crossroads at Crabapple Antique and Art Festival on Saturday, Oct. 1. Parking spaces were filled all around the area, and traffic more closely resembled an evening rush hour than a sedate weekend afternoon. But with most of those motorists seemingly headed for the festival, much of it turned into pedestrian traffic. At least 100 vendors offered antiques ranging from household goods to large pieces of furniture, while artwork from jewelry to paintings were on display, and for sale.
