The Hamzah Islamic Center was established in 2005 to serve the worship and educational needs of local Muslims, despite their country of origin. The institute is currently located in rented office space on Union Hill Road between McGinnis Ferry and McFarland roads. A new center is under construction on Tidwell Road in Alpharetta.
