Milton Lights its Tree Friday, Music and 'Home for Christmas' on Stage

Lloyd C. Douglas' "Home for Christmas": Nov. 29-Dec. 22; Friday and Saturday Nights at 7:30 p.m., Sunday Matinees at 2 p.m. Alpharetta Presbyterian Church, 180 Academy St., Alpharetta. Presented by ACT1 Theatre, join us as we celebrate the "Spirit of Christmas" in this classic tale of a family coming together for the holidays.  Tickets: Adults -$15; Kids 12 and under, Seniors 60 and over $12.

Fifth annual City of Milton Tree Lighting: Milton's holiday season will kick off Friday, Nov. 29 with the fifth annual City of Milton Tree Lighting ceremony from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the corner of Ga. 9 and Webb Road. The tree lighting ceremony will last 30 minutes, from 6:30 to 7 p.m., and include musical performances and Milton's Mayor and City Council counting down to the big moment. After the tree is lit, good St. Nick will arrive by fire truck to the tune of "Here Comes Santa Claus."

Hay Rides & Face Painting: Friday, Nov. 29, 11 a.m. at Scottsdale Farms Garden Center and Bella Luna Cafe. Come back at 5:30 p.m. for chili and a nighttime hay ride. 15639 Birmingham Hwy, Alpharetta
