Coca-Cola Caravans into Town, Pets Meet Santa & City Band in Concert

Even more holiday and other entertainment events are scheduled this weekend.

Coca-Cola Holiday Caravan Comes to Town: The Coca-Cola Holiday Caravan is spreading holiday happiness and joy with the iconic Coca-Cola Santa in Metro Atlanta. Coca-Cola invites families to participate in a long-standing tradition of spreading holiday cheer at the Windward Parkway Wal-Mart location Friday, Dec. 13, 2 p.m.

Fourth Annual Christmas Open House: The Church Street open house will be held this Friday and Saturday, Dec. 13 & 14, within the quaint village on North Main Street and alongside Church Street, in Downtown Alpharetta. Participating in this event are Arbor House Interiors, Ivy Interiors, Mittie's Cafe and ReMixx Boutique. 

Vocalist Monica Spears at The Velvet Note: Georgia-based Vocalist Monica Spears, guitarist Derek Worth and their band offer a unique blend of Jazz and Soul while fusing elements of R&B that create a distinct sound and unmatched style. Show Times:  7:30 p.m. & 9:30 p.m. Tickets: $20. The Velvet Note 4075 Old Milton Parkway, Alpharetta.

Pet Photos with Santa Claws: Near Waggy World Paw Park at Wills Park, Saturday, Dec. 14, noon. Dress up your pet in his/her fancy holiday attire and stop by Waggy World Paw Park on Saturday, from noon-2 p.m. for a special oppotunity for pets to have their photos made with Santa Claws!  Sponsored by Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department, Pet Photos with Santa Claws make the perfect holiday greeting card, original gift, or heartfelt keepsake. Bring your camera! Certain restrictions apply for pets. Pet owners are encouraged to bring a donation for a local pet charity. Gift Exchange, Cookie Decorating for Teens Dec 14: Milton's Better Together and Communiteen will work together Saturday, Dec. 14 to host a teen gift exchange, decorate cookies and collect gift donations for North Fulton Community Charities. This event will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Bethwell Community Center, located at 2695 Hopewell Road in Milton (click here for directions). There is a $10 limit on the gift exchange.

Alpharetta City Band Holiday Concert: Alpharetta Adult Activity Center at North Park. Sunday, Dec. 15, 3 p.m. Enjoy festive and traditional holiday music at this free concert presented by the Alpharetta City Band.  Co-sponsored by Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department and the Alpharetta Golden Age Club, the concert will last approximately 1 hour followed by light refreshments. Info: 678-297-6140 or activeadults@alpharetta.ga.us.

Second annual Mayor's Holiday Open House: Hosted by City Council to create the most welcoming, inclusive community in the state, every resident of Milton is again cordially invited Sunday, Dec. 15 from 4-7 p.m. at the home of Mayor Joe Lockwood on Dorris Road. You read that right: The entire city is welcome to the informal holiday party, which will be held at the Mayor's home. All food and drinks will be donated by City Council and local businesses. Shuttled parking will be available from 4-7 p.m. at Milton High School, 13025 Birmingham Highway in Milton.
