Bring Blankets to Enjoy 'Warm Bodies' and Hear John Fogerty in Concert

This weekend in Alpharetta and Milton is filled with seasonal events, just make sure you wear warm clothing so that you can enjoy the entertainment.

Warm Bodies in Downtown Alpharetta: The final Movies Off Main! family event will be Friday, Oct. 25, starting at 7 p.m.  Bring your own blankets, chairs or other creature comforts to downtown Alpharetta view the movie on a large screen on Old Roswell Street. Speaking of creatures, this week's movie is "Warm Bodies," a zombie-themed love story. Don't worry too much parents, it's free and rated PG-13. 

John Fogerty in Alpharetta: John Fogerty performs songs from his iconic songbook, both from his solo career and with Creedence Clearwater Revival at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre on Friday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $19.50.

Wyndham Subdivision Garage Sale: The entire Wyndham Subdivision is having a garage sale on October 26 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. We are located off Exit 11 (Windward Parkway) off GA 400, just off Hwy 9 immediately across from Crooked Creek.

Alexsander Academy Annual Yard Sale and Carnival: 15+Family Yard Sale starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26.  All proceeds from this event go to benefit children/students with special needs and learning differences.  Tickets will be sold to the carnival section, which will include a bouncy house plus other carnival style games for children to enjoy. We will also have food and drinks available for purchase.  1090 Powers Place Alpharetta, Ga 30009

Halloween Has Gone to the Dogs: Scottsdale Farms will be having a free dog costume contest in our Pumpkin Patch. Categories include: Scariest, Funniest, Most Original, Best Owner/Dog Look-alike, Best in Show. Our staff will select the top dogs for you to vote for on Facebook. Facebook followers will determine the winners. The first four runners up will receive a Pumpkin Planter. Best in Show winner will receive lunch at our Cafe and a Pumpkin Planter. Winners will be announced on Facebook. Photos will take place from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Scottsdale Farms Garden Center and Bella Luna Cafe, 15639 Birmingham Hwy, Milton, GA 30004.

Drug Take Back: The City of Milton Police Department will take part in the seventh installment of the DEA's National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Target on Ga. 9 in Milton. All forms of prescription drugs will be taken, no matter how old.
