Alpharetta Lights a Tree, Crabapple Celebrates Christmas This Weekend

Christmas Tree Lighting: Alpharetta Downtown Historic District will light up at the 36th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday,Dec. 6. The annual celebration will fill the downtown streets with musical performances, Santa, Christmas Farmer’s Market, Food Trucks, and more. The lighting of the town will occur at dusk, then Alpharetta’s Christmas tree, a 45-foot live blue spruce, will come aglow along with more than 10,000 twinkling lights. 5 p.m. - Festivities Begin. 7 p.m. – Lighting of The Christmas Tree.

King's Ridge Christian School Presents "My Son Pinocchio, Jr.": Looking for a fun-filled, light-hearted family activity? Well look no further. The middle school students of KRCS will be performing a whimsical version of Disney's "My Son Pinocchio, Jr." Performances are: Thursday, Dec. 5, Friday, Dec. 6 and Saturday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. Adult tickets are $10, student tickets are $5. Tickets will be available at the door of the Student Center, 2765 Bethany Bend, Alpharetta, GA 30004.

Monthly Book Sale: Friends of the Alpharetta Library will hold their monthly book sale Saturday, Dec. 7 starting at 9 a.m. at the library, 238 Canton St., Alpharetta. Rain or shine.

Christmas in Crabapple: The Crabapple Community Association (CCA) and the city of Milton will host the the sixth annual Christmas in Crabapple on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 2-5 p.m. in historic downtown Crabapple.

Cat Adoptions at PetSmart Northpoint/Alpharetta: Come visit the Furkids cats on Dec. 7.  Some of our adoptable cats are located in the PetSmart store to meet and greet potential families during store hours.  Cats stay overnight and are rotated in/out of the store on a schedule.  Please stop by and visit with them or view all available cats (and dogs!) at http://www.furkids.org/.
