Kids Will Need a Waterproof Costume: This week starts with a chance of showers, which return on Halloween. But it will be much warmer than lat week with highs in the low to mid-70s. Look out for both scattered showers and patchy fog today, although the fog should clear by 9 a.m., according to the National Weather Service forecast. The low will drop to 48 degrees, but for most of the week it will be in the mid to high 50s. The only time showers are considered likely is Halloween night, when thunderstorms also are possible. Try buying an inexpensive clear raincoat to keep your kids dry and their costumes visible Thursday night.
