Songwriters Will Fill Downtown Alpharetta Streets Days after a City Election

Local youth bring a Disney favorite character to life on stage.

Patchy Frost Today, Rain Mid-Week: A frost advisory remains in effect until 9 a.m. today, though patchy frost isn't expected after 8 a.m. in Alpharetta and Milton. It will be a sunny day with a high near 61, according to the National Weather Service forecast. The wind will be easterly with gusts as high as 15 mph. Tonight's low will be around 38, and Tuesday will have a high near 62. A chance of showers is likely Wednesday night, with the rain likely on Thursday. But the weekend should clear up.

DeRito or Mitchell? Past or Current Council Member?: Alpharetta holds its municipal election with incumbent Donald Mitchell facing off against Doug DeRito, a former City Council member. Although Chris Owens and Mike Kennedy are also on the ballot, they are running unopposed for their posts and have their races sewn up. (All four council seats in Milton were unopposed, so that neighboring city won't even hold an election.) Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Not sure where to cast your vote?
