Alpharetta Selling Land for Library, Lighting Christmas Tree This Week

Alpharetta Selling Land for Library for $10: Alpharetta City Council is scheduled to approve selling the deed for downtown property for the Alpharetta Library branch to the Atlanta-Fulton County Library System. The $10 sale will allow the new 25,000-square-foot building to be constructed on the City Center property. 

Monthly Book Sale: Friends of the Alpharetta Library will hold their monthly book sale Saturday, Dec. 7 starting at 9 a.m. at the library, 238 Canton St., Alpharetta. Rain or shine.

Christmas Tree Lighting: Alpharetta Downtown Historic District will light up at the 36th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday,Dec. 6!  The annual celebration will fill the downtown streets with musical performances, Santa, Christmas Farmer’s Market, Food Trucks, and more. The lighting of the town will occur at dusk, then Alpharetta’s Christmas tree, a 45-foot live blue spruce, will come aglow along with more than 10,000 twinkling lights. 5 p.m. - Festivities Begin. 7 p.m. – Lighting of The Christmas Tree.
