How Cold Is it? Cold Enough to Freeze Running Water

John Hipes spotted this frozen fountain outside of his law offices this morning as he came to work.

The fountain outside of the Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau and its Welcome Center came to a stop as the temperature dropped so cold ice built up instead of the flowing water.

The temperature remains well below freezing, recorded as 8 degrees at 9:39 a.m. The wind chill makes it feel like -8 degrees.
