North Fulton Rotary Club Helps 150 Students with Supplies

The Alpharetta club raised almost $2,000 to provide supplies to kids at four schools.

When local school children need help with school supplies, the Rotary Club of North Fulton responds with enthusiasm.

The club kicked off its new Rotary year with the tradition of a service project that is a great support to the local North Fulton community, according to Todd Bellocchio, public relations chair for the club. Children benefiting attend North Fulton public schools that have a diversified population, with about 65 percent being of international backgrounds. 

Rotary Club Member Cliff Wilcox coordinated the gathering and delivery of school supplies, including notebooks, pens, pencils, bags, and bag tags with the Rotary “4 Way Test” to four schools in the local area:

  • 75 bags with supplies were delivered to in Roswell on Aug. 11. Principal Lynn Johnson received the gift on behalf of the school and its students.
  • 25 bags with supplies were delivered to in Roswell on Aug. 19. Principal John Anderson received the gift on behalf of the school and its students.
  • 25 bags with supplies were delivered to in Roswell on Aug. 19. Principal Constance Coles received the gift on behalf of the school and its students.
  •  25 bags with supplies were delivered to in Roswell on Aug. 19. Principal Neil Pinnock received the gift on behalf of the school and its students.

The Rotary Club of North Fulton raised more than $1,900 to put towards book bags, school supplies and literacy programs. Bags and supplies are valued at $1,400. All told, 150 students in need of supplies were helped by the efforts of Rotary Club of North Fulton.
