Milton Cleans Up Area Streams, Creeks and Roadways

Milton Grows Green volunteers remove more than 1,700 pounds of debris during the Milton Rivers Alive event.

Milton's Rivers Alive annual water and roadways clean-up was held Saturday, Oct. 19 at Bailey Farm and Gardens.

More than 50 volunteers from the Alpharetta High School Beta Club, Rotary Club of Milton-Windward, Northwestern and Hopewell Middle School Jr. Beta clubs, Better Together and Milton Grows Green participated to pull out more than 1,700 pounds of debris from area streams, creeks and roadways.

Among the items the volunteers collected were a dozen tires and more than 50 bags of trash, according to the city's website.
