Lions Club Asks You to Eat Pancakes and Raise Money for Charities

The Annual Pancake Breakfast for Sight Conservation will benefit North Fulton Community Charities' "Heart for NFCC" Campaign

The Alpharetta Lions Club annual pancake breakfast returns Saturday, Feb. 25 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Alpharetta First United Methodist Church at 69 North Main Street.  Although the same great pancakes return, this year is special as the Lions Club have partnered with North Fulton Community Charities to support their “Have a Heart for NFCC” fundraising campaign.

“NFCC is a great organization we support, where all donations go to community needs," says Alpharetta Lions President Jason Blalock. "We saw this partnership as an opportunity to facilitate a true community event, through raising funds for NFCC, offering free vision screening services, and working with the Fulton County Department of Registration and Elections to provide a voter registration drive.

"And best of all, a moment to take a break and get together with friends, family, and neighbors for made from scratch, delicious, best you ever tasted pancakes donated by the Original Pancake House,"  he said.

NFCC has kicked off a campaign to raise $200,000 to support less fortunate citizens in North Fulton and have looked to local citizens, leaders, businesses, and community organizations to help with the cause.

"Lions serve our community and it is a natural fit that we answer the call of NFCC to help support our mutual interest to make North Fulton a better place for all,"  Blalock said.
